Cher Lloyd Premieres U.S. Version of 'With Ur Love' Music Video

A day after releasing a teaser of her new music video for "With Ur Love", 19-year-old singer and model Cher Lloyd premiered the full clip on Thursday, February 14. The clip is to support her third U.S. single, following her first hit "Want U Back" which reached no. 12 on Billboard's Hot 100 and sold 2 million copies in the States, and the less successful "Oath" which only managed to reach no. 99 on the singles chart. The enchanting video shows Lloyd hosting a dinner party for a few handsome male guests together with her gorgeous female companions who are actually witches like Lloyd's character in the clip. She looks to cook up enchanting potions with the help of the men's spiritual essences. The new clip, a stark departure from the U.K. version, is set in a balloon-filled street with Lloyd and her collaborator, songwriter and record producer Mike Posner dressing in less formal, casual clothing. Fans' reactions are varied, with most of them saying they prefer the original over this new one. "I like cher lloyd but I think this video isn't great I prefer the other version!" said a fan. Some even went out to question why Lloyd has multiple versions of the video. "I love her, but I don't understand why she makes 2 videos of her songs... btw I love the song, but not this video...," stated another fan. Lloyd came in fourth place on the U.K. edition of the hit TV singing competition "The X-Factor" back in 2010. She has since signed up with Syco Music/Epic Records, who released her debut album, "Sticks + Stones". It was released in the U.S. in October 2012 after it got released in the U.K. in November 2011.
