'We Want More Adele!' James Bond Bosses Want Adele To Repeat Skyfall Success
Adele might just be the hottest and most sought after person on the planet right now! After storming most of the major film awards this year, James Bond producers are said to be 'desperate' to get the singer to pen the next new theme tune. According to The Sun, producers for the smash hit film series are hoping that they can make Adele the new Dame Shirley Bassey, making the 24-year-old star the new musical face of Bond films. A source from the Bond studios said "they want her (Adele) to become as synonymous with Bond as Dame Shirley." Bassey, who is most famous for her pitch perfect classic tune Goldfinger, actually sang three Bond theme tunes, including Diamonds are Forever and the less well known Moonraker. The Welsh star sadly never won any gongs for her songs though. In contrast, Adele's Skyfall, which she co-wrote with musical partner Paul Epworth, has sold more than three million copies worldwide and the awards in the Academy Awards, Brit Awards and Golden Globes.A new Bond song might have to wait though as it was recently reported that the Rolling in the Deep singer is "desperate" to find some inspiration to start her new album. Her album 21 shot the singer to the big-time back in 2011 and received many accolades and awards. The album is also reported to be the best-selling album of the 21st Century so far! Way to go, girl! However the songstress admitted that she is just as eager as her fans to get going on the new collection of songs. She told The Daily Mail that the songs will "come when they're ready, and when I've got something to sing about."
