JUSTIN Bieber's furry friend Pac has passed away – and rarely has a hamster's demise caused such a sensation.The pet died yesterday and within hours of the news breaking, Twitter was sent into meltdown, with #RIPPac trending worldwide.
Bieber, 19, only owned Pac for three months before he met a group of fans in Atlanta, Georgia, in December and handed over the hamster, telling Victoria McClure: "You gotta take care of Pac."Victoria agreed and Pac started living with her in Albertville, Alabama.
Last night, Victoria said Pac had been despatched to "little hamster heaven".
She added: "He was OUR baby and @justinbieber, I still can't thank you enough.
"Having him was truly a blessing and a small beacon of hope."
Victoria has had lots of people sending her tweets of support – as well as messages accusing her of killing Pac. She's promised to give him a proper burial.
