After her recent stints on the Today Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live — not to mention her night of rubbing shoulders with Elton John and Bono while doing the post-Oscars party rounds — Emeli Sande hit up Good Morning America for an acoustic rendition of her US sleeper hit “Next To Me.” Sitting on a wooden stool next to her guitarist in a dimly-lit studio, Sande gave a quietly soulful performance of the song, which is currently just inside the Top 40 on iTunes. Next week Emeli heads to Europe to kick off a tour that begins March 4 and Paris and eventually winds up in Aberdeen, England on April 19.
